PRESCRIPTIONS BY MAIL

The other day I called my doctor's office to get a refill on my blood pressure medication.  The nurse asked me a question that I had not been asked before.  It was:  Do you want me to call it in to the pharmacy or do you have your prescriptions delivered in the mail?

I found this curious and asked her about it.  Her reply was that in order for her insurance to cover the prescription, that after the first one, she has to get her refills by mail.  This must be a cost saving measure.

Benecar

I took Benecar to control my high blood pressure for several months. I do not take it now- I have found that fish oil does the job just as well, along with controlling sodium intake. Prescription drugs are SO expensive. I tried getting the medicine for free through pparx.com, but I didn't qualify. I have no insurance and could not afford over $50 a month for those pills. There needs to be a better way!!

Pain Medication Addiction

Warning Signs and Dangers of Pain Killer Addiction:
"Tolerance. Your body adapts to the continuous presence of a pain drug. Over time, your body builds up a resistance to the medicine, and you need higher doses of the medication to get the same level of pain relief. This is called building up a tolerance, and is normal.
Physical dependence. When your body has grown accustomed to the presence of the pain medication, you may go through withdrawal symptoms if you suddenly stop taking the medication. This is physical dependence.
Addiction. Pain-pill addiction is a pathological condition. This is characterized by the addict using the drug regardless of dangerous, destructive effects on the body, relationships, and other parts of his/her life.

Which pain medications are most addictive?

Opioids — sometimes called narcotics — are among the most addictive pain medications. These include:

• Codeine
• Fentanyl (Duragesic, others)
• Hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lortab, others)
• Hydromorphone (Dilaudid, others)
• Meperidine (Demerol, others)
• Morphine (MS Contin, Kadian, others)
• Oxycodone (OxyContin, Percocet, others)
• Propoxyphene (Darvon, others)

People who develop pain-pill addiction tend to have a genetic tendency towards this. Studies have shown that most of them have family members who abuse drugs or alcohol. A"

Medications for healthy heart care

Medications are all important when it comes to healthy heart care.  The patient needs to understand how the proper medication effects the heart. The fact that the heart has different problems means that accordingly the medication may vary as well. It is possible to have multiple problems such as high blood pressure and cholesterol then you would need two different types of medications.

The medicine that is Beta-Blockers, which reduce the heart rate and the output of blood by counteracting a hormone called noradrenalin, is not recommended for people with severe heart failure. Find out more at Understanding Congestive Heart Failure

Some RX drugs may cause snoring

Avoid taking relaxant substances immediately before sleep. Too much relaxation in the muscle of the throat is known to cause the blockages since the muscles can possibly flip-flap better when relaxed. This also explains why we only experience snoring when sleeping since the muscles at this state are relaxed. People with this condition are often advised to sleep lightly while keeping a tensed state so muscles are put into proper order.

Dangers of Prescription drugs

Now, Avandia is being taken off the market! I read where people said that they knew a few years ago that Avandia was causing or contributing to heart attacks. The FDA is just getting around to protecting the people now.
This is why I only go to the doctor as a last resort. I prefer natural methods of healing, such as herbal preparations. Did you know that Acupuncturists are also skilled Herbologists? When I was under the care of an Acupuncturist after my car accident, she gave me a powder to take- didn't tell me what was in it, but I tested licorice root. Interestingly, I found out a few years later that Licorice Root is a possible natural treatment for Diabetes.

Take a look at this new site on Acupuncture. It's called EZ Acupuncture.
There is a section of the site devoted to Acupuncture and Herbs. Many of the prescription drugs we have today started out as derivatives of herbs and wild plants, anyway.

Lower Your Cholestrol the Natural Way

Lower Your Cholestrol The Natural Way

If you ever wanted to lower your high cholesterol without high-priced prescriptions, or harmful drugs riddled with side effects, then this will most definitely be the most significant letter you read in your entire life.

Here's why.

My name is Frank Mangano and I've discovered a method to lowering your high cholesterol in an all-natural way. Using my 'Mangano' method, you can lower your high cholesterol…and do it naturally.

High cholesterol is a threat to a healthy heart. This is as serious of a health concern as you can possibly have.

And it happens to millions of Americans each year. You go to your doctor for a regular checkup which includes a blood test. You think nothing of it, until your doctor calls you and gives you the results of the blood test, which include a diagnosis of "high cholesterol.

Cholesterol is a waxy substance that is made by the liver and is also supplied in the diet through animal products such as meats, poultry, fish and dairy products. However, the body makes enough cholesterol, so any dietary cholesterol isn't needed. Cholesterol is needed in the body to insulate nerves, make cell membranes and produce certain hormones.

So you see, cholesterol is essential for certain functions in your body. However, at high levels cholesterol can become a risk factor for many serious health problems. I repeat many serious health risks are involved from having an excessive level of cholesterol in the blood. These risks shouldn't be taken lightly as high levels of LDL cholesterol greatly increase the risk of stroke, atherosclerosis, and coronary heart disease. Bad cholesterol can be inherited or a result of your body chemistry.

When diagnosed with high cholesterol doctors often prescribe drugs known as statins, or prescription strength cholesterol lowering drugs. Statins, although sometimes necessary, can also produce some unwanted and very serious side effects including but not limited to the following:

  • Rhabdomyolysis (muscle-destroying condition)

  • Kidney Damage

  • Muscle Weakness And Pain

  • Memory Loss

  • Allergic Reaction

  • Decreased Sexual Interest Or Ability

  • Difficulty Sleeping

  • Constipation

  • Diarrhea

  • Dizziness

  • Gas And Belching

  • Headache

  • Heartburn Or Indigestion

  • Nausea Or Vomiting

I know I am tired of the side effects that prescription drugs have so I decided to take the natural way.  Besides the cost of medication is totally rediculous.  So if you want to try it the natural way. Click on the link below
